The attendees discussed topics such as the situation in the Middle East, the evolution of world order, challenges to multilateral mechanisms, United Nations reform, and global sustainable development.

Wang Huiyao stated that the current trend towards multipolarity is accelerating, but the existing multilateral system has not yet fully adapted. Faced with geopolitical conflicts and global uncertainty, all parties should strengthen dialogue and promote the construction of a stable and inclusive international order.

Sachs analyzes the impacts facing the international system from dimensions such as geopolitics, ecological crises, and technological changes. He emphasized that peace is a prerequisite for development, and the international community should abide by the principles of the United Nations Charter, safeguard sovereignty and territorial integrity, and prevent the escalation of war from impacting the global economy and governance.

He made sharp comments on the Western international community's response to the military strikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iran, pointing out that at the emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, representatives from multiple countries, constrained by the US military presence or political pressure, dared not speak out that the cause of the war was the first attack by the US and Israel, but instead accused Iran of "baseless provocation". This collective silence and reversal of right and wrong reflects the serious crisis of global governance at present; He emphasized that only when countries dare to speak the truth and return to rational dialogue can the situation avoid further loss of control.

Jeremi ć believes that the "multipolar reality" has become clearer, but the corresponding order has not yet been formed. The international community faces three path choices: reforming existing organizations, developing regional alternative mechanisms, or taking unilateral actions. Their interaction will determine whether the future will lead to peace or conflict.

During the interactive session, Austrian Ambassador to China Wolf Dietrich HEIM and a reporter from South China Morning Post asked questions on topics such as the Ukraine crisis, Iran, US China relations, and UN reform. The on-site communication further reflects that in the current rapidly evolving global landscape, how to maintain peace, promote cooperation, and improve global governance in the trend of multipolarity is still an important issue of high concern for all parties.
