According to news from the "Xishuangbanna Financial Media" on the 19th, in this operation, the law enforcement agencies of China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand sent a total of 5 law enforcement boats and 142 law enforcement team members to set up a joint operation command post in the Chinese 53109 of law enforcement boats. Before the operation, the law enforcement agencies of the four countries focused on the public security situation in the Mekong River Basin, and held joint commander meetings and multilateral information exchange meetings focusing on telecommunications network fraud and derivative crimes, gun-related explosions, and violent infringement. Cross-border crimes and information exchange, joint governance, etc., reached a consensus on further refining the responsibilities and tasks of all parties and clarifying the key points of joint law enforcement.
During the operation, the four countries will carry out a series of law enforcement activities such as joint patrols, segmented cruises, joint training, and joint land and water inspections with the theme of "working together to keep peace and protect the people's livelihood in the Lancang Mekong", and implement full coverage of key waters of the Mekong River., Three-dimensional inspection and prevention and control, severely crack down on all kinds of cross-border crimes, comprehensively investigate and rectify hidden safety hazards in river basins, and fully protect the lives and, ensure the safety, stability and smooth flow of the Mekong waterway.
The China-Laos-Myanmar-Thailand Mekong joint law enforcement began in December 2011, and the China-Laos-Myanmar-Thailand Mekong Joint Patrol Law Enforcement Command was officially unveiled in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan.
